Interim Report of the Working Group on Integrated Ecosystem Assessments for the Norwegian Sea (WGINOR)

The Working Group on Integrated Ecosystem Assessments for the Norwegian Sea (WGINOR) was held in Bergen, Norway, from 28 November to 2 December 2016 and was chaired by Per Arneberg (Norway) and Guðmundur J. Óskarsson (Iceland). The total number of participants was 24, representing Norway (19), Iceland (2) the Faroese (2), and Spain (1).The progress on ToR A, included updated assessment of the main components of the ecosystem, writing of recommendations to improve monitoring of the Ecoregion, methodological development of multivariate analyses, and possible end-users have been identified as well as types of questions they may have for WGINOR.The progress on ToR B involved a thorough discussion on research questions and how to address them. The research questions are still under development. Three different models were identified for this task, ENAC, NORWECOM, and Atlantis.
