The Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC) of the U.S. National Marine Fisheries Service is mandated to assess and reduce sea turtle bycatch in domestic commercial fisheries in the Northwest Atlantic Ocean. The Center’s approach involves data collection, bycatch analysis, and gear research. This presentation provides examples of our approach.
