Alfonsinos/Golden eye perch (Beryx spp.) in the Northeast Atlantic

Fisheries should not be allowed to expand, and in the light of the vulnerability of deep sea species a reduction in catches should be considered until such time there is sufficient scientific information to prove the fishery is sustainable.
