Cod (Gadus morhua) in Subdivision 5.b.2 (Faroe Bank)

ICES  advises  that  when  the  precautionary  approach  is  applied,  because  of  the  very  low  stock  size,  the  fishery  should  beclosed. Reopening the fishery should not be considered until both survey indices indicate a biomass at or above the average of the period 1996–2002.
