Cod (<i>Gadus morhua</i>) in NAFO Subarea 1 (West Greenland offshore spawning cod)

<p dir="ltr">ICES advises that when the maximum sustainable yield (MSY) approach is applied, catches in 2026 should be no more than 4 708 tonnes. </p><p dir="ltr">Cod in NAFO Subarea 1 is caught in a fishery comprising a mix of West Greenland inshore spawning cod, West Greenland offshore spawning cod, and East Greenland–Iceland offshore spawning cod. This should be taken into account when defining management actions to avoid exceeding the advice for any of the stocks.</p><p><br></p>
