Cod (Gadus morhua) in subdivisions 22-24, western Baltic stock (western Baltic Sea)

ICES advises that when the precautionary approach is applied, there should be zero catch in each of the years 2026 and 2027. The fishery for western Baltic cod includes fish from eastern Baltic cod, which is below B_lim. To be consistent with ICES advice, catches of eastern Baltic cod should be zero tonnes. ICES cannot advise on measures to avoid catch of eastern Baltic cod in the fishery for western Baltic cod.
