ICES advises that when the MSY approach is applied, catches in 2025 should be no more than 46 911 tonnes.

Management of golden redfish (Sebastes norvegicus) and beaked redfish (Sebastes mentella) catches in east Greenland under a combined species TAC prevents effective control of the single-species exploitation rates and is causing overexploitation of S. mentella for which there is zero‑catch advice. ICES advises that management should be implemented at the species level.
