Haemotopoietic neoplasm in the flat oyster

The disease has been found in most areas of the coasts of Brittany, with a low incidence rate (less than 1 % within the last seven years) and without abnormal mortality. Two maximum frequencies are observed in June-July, and October, perhaps in relation to spawning and/or external stress.
