Kitefin shark (Dalatias licha) in the Northeast Atlantic

The  advice  given  in  2012  for  this  stock  is  valid  for  2013-2015: “ICES  advises  on the  basis  of  the  precautionary  approach  that  no  targeted  fisheries  should  be  permitted  unless  there  are  reliable  estimates  of  current  exploitation rates and sufficient data to assess productivity. There should be no fisheries unless there is evidence thatthis will be sustainable.”
