NEAFC request on potential elements for an adaptive management plan for redfish

The objective of any future management plan shall be to establish such levels of catches and fishing effort which will

result in the sustainable exploitation of pelagic redfish in the Irminger Sea and adjacent waters.

This management plan should take due account of any recent improvements in scientific knowledge on stock entities as

referred from the ICES review in the beginning of 2009.

ICES response

NEAFC has been informed that the ICES response to this request will be available during the autumn of 2009 after

ICES has held a workshop to deal with this issue.
