New information on vulnerable habitats and fisheries activities in the NEAFC regulatory areas

<p dir="ltr">ICES advises to maintain the existing North-East Atlantic Fishery Commission (NEAFC) bottom fishing closed areas to protect vulnerable marine ecosystems (VMEs). No additions to or extensions of the existing bottom fishing closed areas to protect VMEs in the NEAFC regulatory areas are advised. This advice is based on new information on the distribution of VMEs submitted to ICES from 29 March 2024 to 28 March 2025.</p>
