Norway lobster (Nephrops spp.) in Division IVb, FU 8 (Central North Sea, Firth of Forth )

Please note: This advice was updated in November 2015. ICES advises that when the of the MSY approach is applied, catches in 2016 (assuming a landing obligation applies) should be no more than 1316 tonnes. If this stock is not under the EU landing obligation in 2016 and discard rates do not change from the average (2012–2014), this implies landings of no more than 1203 tonnes. In  order  to  ensure  the  stock  in  this  FU  is  exploited  sustainably,  management  should  be  implemented  at  the  functional  unit  level.
