<p dir="ltr">ICES advises that when the EU multiannual plan (MAP) for Western Waters and adjacent waters is applied, and assuming zero discards, catches in 2026 that correspond to the F ranges in the MAP are between 1 750 and 2 169 tonnes. The entire range is considered precautionary when applying the ICES advice rule.</p><p dir="ltr">To ensure that the stock in Functional Unit (FU) 16 is exploited sustainably, management should be continued at the FU level.</p><p><br></p>
