Plaice (Pleuronectes platessa) in divisions 7.h–k (Celtic Sea South, southwest of Ireland)
The available information is insufficient to evaluate stock trends. However, exploratory estimates of mortality suggest that the current fishing mortality is greater than Fmax. This together with a reduction in recent landings leads to an advice to reduce TAC to recent average landings (2006-2008) of less than 33 t.
