Primary production: Guidelines for measurement by 14C incorporation

These guidelines aim to standardize, in the ICES area, the methodology of primary production measurements made by determination of C incorporation, taking into account, as far as possible, the diversity of techniques in use at the time of writing. As well a dealing with purely technical aspects of the method, new concepts have been incorporated which represent considerable modifications to the current approach to primary production determination and which may alter the calculated daily production estimates.
