Report of the Study Group on life history of Nephrops

The Study Group (SG) on Life Histories of Nephrops was established in 1994. The group last met in La Coruna in May1998  and  a  report  of  the  meeting  was  presented  at  the  last  annual  conference  (ICES,  1998).  The  report  dealt  with  arange  of  biological  issues  and  listed  a  series  of  recommendations  for  areas  of  future  work.  Some  of  these  wereconsidered by ACFM and Terms of Reference (TOR) were added to the schedule of work for the 1999 meeting of theICES Nephrops Working Group. In addition, TOR were drawn up for the Study Group to consider by correspondencein the light of Working Group findings. Since, however, the meeting of the Working Group was fairly late in the year,there has been little time to take some of the issues forward.
