Report of Study Group on Baltic Cod Age Reading (SGBCAR)

a) Summarise the results of otolith exchange programmed set up standards for technical methodology in age reading procedures for the manual;b) Establish a digitalized video image collection based on reference collection of otoliths from different subdivisions, seasons and length groups of cod;c) prepare a manual based on reference collection of otoliths, which would provide1 guidelines for standard age reading procedure and the interpretation of cod otoliths.
