Report of the Benchmark Workshop Planning Group: Report of the Chair (PGBWK)

This report was primarily developed by an ad‐hoc planning group (see Appendix I for membership) that worked by web conference and correspondence. It was also influenced by important discussions with ACOM members during the week of 21 September at the ASC, and it has been revised to reflect decisions made by ACOM, in particular the stocks selected for benchmark. The ToR’s for the benchmark groups will be developed based on the AMAWGC proposals from February 2008 and taking into account the model for a benchmark that was developed in ad‐hoc group.
