Report of the Herring Assessment Working Group for the Area South of 62°N (HAWG)
The ICES herring assessment working group (HAWG) met for 7 days in March 2010
to assess the state of 7 herring stocks and 3 sprat stocks. The working group conducted update assessments for four of the herring stocks. No analytical assessments
were carried out for the remaining four herring stocks although available survey
and/or fishery data were examined. No update assessments were possible for any of
the sprat stocks.
