The Chairman, Dr H. Rees, opened the meeting of the ICES/OSPAR Steering Group on Quality Assurance of Biologieal Measurements Related to Eutrophieation Effects (SGQAE) at ICES Headquarters in Copenhagen at 10.00 hrs on 18 February 1997. A list ofparticipants at the meeting is given in Annex I.
