Report of the ICES/SCOR Working Group on the Study of Pollution of the Baltic

The ICES/SCOR Working Group on the Study of Pollution of the Baltic (hereafter named the WG) met for its First Session in Lund, at the Zoological Institute, from 2~4 May 1972. The Session was opened by the Chairman, Professor lImo HeIa, who greeted the representatives of the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES), those of the Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR) and the guests. (A list of participants is given in Annex.l). The Chairman regretted that some colleagues who were supposed to be present at the meeting could not attend. However, all tho countries bordering the Baltic Sea, except USSR, were represented.
