Report of the Joint EU / ICES Workshop on Processing of Data from the Baltic Sea in the Regional Database (Fish-Frame) (WKRDB - Baltic)
The International Regional Database Steering Group (SGRDB) decided on its meeting the 1 of December 2011 to carry out three workshops to support the use of FishFrame as the tool for providing input data to assessment working groups and others. This workshop was the first and the purpose was to work and get experience with the Data Processing modules in FishFrame. The workshop was supposed to be used as a support for the data compilation for the Baltic Fish Assessment Working Group (WGBFAS). Workshop was open for participants from all regions but the data to be worked on were restricted to the Baltic region.
14 people from national institutes did attend the workshop representing the follow-ing countries: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden. Only Russia was not represented. In addition 4 persons from ICES secre-tariat attended the meeting (two of them part time) (Appendix a).
Previous to the workshop participants were asked to upload complete data for 2011 if possible. Otherwise, complete data from 2010 should be available (see Appendix b: Data Call).
Relevant presentations, which demonstrated the complete work flow in the data processing were given by the chairs and afterwards the participants were processing own national data if available with support from the chairs.
