Report of the North Sea Flatfish Working Group

At the 74th Statutory Meeting, it was decided (C.Res. 19861 2:5:19)that the North Sea Flatfish Working Group will meet with the following terms of reference:

i) assess the status of and provide catch options for 1988 within safe biological limits for the stocks of sole and plaice in the North Sea and English Channel and sole in Subarea VIII;

ii) provide advice on measures to improve the exploitation pattern on North Sea plaice, taking into account the effects on other species.
