The principal objective3 of the Group (see CoResol973/2&23) were to re-assess the state of cod􀇹 haddock and whiting stocks in the North Sea, and to recommend total allowable catches for these specieso In add.iticnj at the end of the Meeting (see C.Resol973/2822) the North Sea·Rcundfish Werking Group joined with the North Sea Flatfish Working Group to consider mult!=species mesh assessments for cod, haddock, whiting,plaice and sole.
