Report of the Regional Co-ordination Meeting (RCM) for the Baltic Sea Area

The EU Data Collection Regulation (EC 1543/2000 and the implementing Regulation 1639/2001) established a framework for the collection of fishing capacity, effort, landings and discards, biological and economic data by Member States (MS). It was intended that this programme would provide the basic data needed to evaluate the state of fishery resources and the fisheries sector.
