At its 1997 Annual Science Conference, ICES resolved (C.Res.I997/2:55) that a Working Group on Stock IdentificationMethods will mcct by correspondcnce undcr the chairmanship of Dr K. Friedland (USA). The Study Group would continueto develop the Stock Idcntification Methodology and advise on future meetings ofthe Working Group (Appendix I).
