Report of the Study Group on Life Histories and Assessment of Pandalus Stocks in the North Atlantic

According to Resolution 2.24 adopted at the 80th Statutory Meeting the Study Group should meet in Reykjavik from 6-10 September 1993 to:
a) Report on the status of the Pandalus fisheries in the North Atlantic.
b) Describe the biology of the Pandalus stocks and prepare an inventory of the biological data available for assessment purposes.
c) Report on the information available for estimating adult and recruit abundance, including the results of trawl surveys, catch-per-effort data and stomach contents of predators.
d) Evaluate analytical and other assessment methods.
e) Develop criteria and objectives for fishery management, and discuss appropriate management methods.
