Report of the Study Group to Evaluate the effects of Multispecies Interactions (SGEEMI)

At the 1999 ICES Annual Science Conference, the following terms of reference were agreed for the second meeting of the Study Group to Evaluate the Effects of Multispecies Interactions:

(a) evaluate the effect of applying single species reference points from a multispecies point of view, with particular

reference to limit and precautionary reference points as presently advocated for the North Sea and Baltic fish

stocks;

(b) review progress made intersessionally with regard to support studies for aspects to be incorporated in multispecies models;

(c) propose terms of reference for future work.
