Report of the Working Group on the Assessment

The ICES Working Group for the Assessment of Northern Shelf Demersal Stocks

(WGNSDS) met at ICES Headquarters, Copenhagen during 15th–21st May 2008. The

main terms of reference addressed by this year’s working group were: to provide update

assessments for those stocks identified for advice in 2008 (see below), to assemble

national data and update time series of relevant fisheries and environmental data

and to update the description of the fisheries of the northern shelf area.
