The estimates of landings for the period 1986 to 1999 as used by the WG are given in Table 6.3.2.1. As for L.
whiffiagonis, Portuguese landings were estimated as last Working Group using their relative abundances in the sampled landings. Spanish landings were estimated as in previous years on the same basis. Discard data are available only for Spanish trawlers in 1994, 1997 and for 1999. Discard data are not used in the assessment of this species.
