The Chair, Steffen Uhlig, opened the meeting of the Working Group on Statistical Aspects of Environmental Monitoring (WGSAEM) at 10.00 hrs on 18 March 2002. He welcomed the participants and thanked Tom O’Connor for the smooth organisation and the arrangements for the meeting.
