Report of the working Group on the Assessment of the Stocks of Hake

At the ICES Statutory Meeting in 1986, it was decided (C.Res.1986/2:5:18) that the Working Group on the Assessment of the Stocks of Hake (Chairman: Mr B.W. Jones) will meet at ICES Headquarters from 25 June - 2 July 1987 to:

a) review the results of the otolith exchange,

b) assess the status of the hake stocks in Sub-areas IV-IX;

c) evaluate the effect of management measures taken to improve the exploitation pattern of the hake fisheries and advise on additional measures which could be taken.
