Seventh Report of the Bluefin Tuna Working Group - observations on the size composition of bluefin tuna catches from 1976 to 1978

Previous reports of the Bluefin Tuna Working Group were published in

Statistical News Letters, Nos. 20, 26 and 38, and Cooperative Research

Reports, Nos. 23, 40 and 71. Following recommendations of the Pelagic

Fish Committee in 1976, 1977 and. 1978, the members of the Working Group

continued the collection of data on the development of the bluefin tuna

fisheries in the North Atlantic and adjacent seas. The work was again

carried out by correspondence between members and with other tuna

scientists in the region and it has again been concentrated on the

collection of data on the size composition of tuna catches taken in 1976-

1978.
