Sprat (Sprattus sprattus) in Division 3.a (Skagerrak and Kattegat)

The new data available for this stock, i.e landings, survey indices, give no reason to change the advice from 2008. The advice on this stock for the fishery in 2010 is therefore the same as the advice given in 2008 for the 2009 fishery: “Sprat in Division IIIa is mainly fished together with juvenile herring and the exploitation of sprat is limited by the restrictions imposed on fisheries for juvenile herring”.

There will be no update of advice for 2010.
