Sprat (Sprattus sprattus) in Subarea 6 and divisions 7.a–c and 7.f–k (West of Scotland, southern Celtic Seas)
New data available for this stock do not change the perception of the stock; therefore, the advice for this fishery in 2014 is the same as the advice for 2013 (see ICES, 2012): “Based on the ICES approach for data limited stocks, ICES advises that catches should be no more than 3 500 tonnes. Currently there is no TAC for this species in this area, and it is not clear whether there should be one or several management units”.
