Tope (Galeorhinus galeus) in the Northeast Atlantic

Based on ICES approach to data-limited stocks, ICES advises that catches should be reduced by 20%. Because the data for  catches  of  tope  are  not  fully  documented  and  considered  unreliable  (due  to  the  historical  use  of  generic  landings  categories), ICES is not in a position to quantify the result. Measures to identify pupping areas should be taken.
